After recently being approached for some freelance web development and SEO work, I was asked for examples of some other websites – except for my own – I’ve built; then it dawned on me how ludicrous it is there’s nothing on the site to quantify that.
Sure there’s some small print somewhere, but nobody reads the small print. Instead, here’s a brief recount of my techier side of life; and I don’t mean musically…
It all started way back when (circa 2001) whilst I was working as a Data Analyst for NTL in Brighton and I worked with a young entrepreneur-in-the-making called Martin. Martin owned (the now-defunct Clubbing-UK.com) and I joined as the site’s editor-in-chief.
Within a year or so I’d turned the site into one of the UK’s most credible, and most visited Clubbing webzines. I expanded the contents massively and – at the same time – taught myself the basics in HTML and CSS.
Since those early hay-days; I’ve built over twenty sites in total – most of which (unfortunately) are no longer online. Those highlights have included the Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi Egypt sites, alongside those of Solutions Red Sea, and Hurghada Marina.
These days, alongside my site (of course) you can see recent examples of my mobile-friendly (bootstrap / HTML5 / CSS) sites at www.qi-energy.ae, www.modahastings.com, www.herciti.co.uk, and www.leonandpartners.com.
I’ve also helped boost many a site’s search engine presence; securing page one of Google for a variety of search terms through strictly white-hat techniques. As a SEO Specialist, I’m up-to-date with a variety of optimization techniques, on- and off-page to help maximize your search potential.
