Music Reviews - December 2021

Managing to blag some time off to fly home over Christmas, also meant with the extra downtime, I had more time for chilling and tunage. December sees some festive love for Silver Fox, Fabich Feat. Vetta Borne, Pete Ellison and the BPM Collectif out of France.

There's lots of free music downloads on SoundCloud too - if you don't have an account yet, get on it! Top Tune Reviews

Silver Fox - Don't You Want Me (Chic - Want Your Love Mix)

A cunning and glorious rework here, by the under-appreciated London-based DJ and remixer Silver Fox, who lays Human League's '81 hauting vocals over Chic's classic '78 smash hit. Love it.

Fabich Feat. Vetta Borne - 405

I stumbled over this artist (& track) via a mix I reviewed last month. The slightly-mysterious Fabich joins forces with the sultry sounds of Australia's Vetta Borne for some downtempo magic.

Mega Mix Reviews

Collectif BPM - Mixmas

An expertly blended two-hour, eight-handed, mix from the BPM collectif (featuring mixes from fabulous Frenchies such as Groove Garden, déʞalé, Pamplemousse Rose, and frangi). Top tunage includes edits from Pete Le Freq, Ninetoes, Folamour, Crazy P and Chakka Khan.

Pete Ellison ft Cole Kutz - Feel Good Friday Radio #76

Get ready for a shoulder-shaking two hour mix from Pete, featuring Open Tempo's Cole Kutz. Stand-out tracks include a delightful Toby Lawrence remix of Rapture, Interstellar Love by Johnson & Derrick McKenzie, and a cheeky re-edit of George Benson's 'Give Me The Night'.
