Happy Birthday Mama!
Today's the day my wonderful mother celebrates her birthday so I'd thought I'd write her a very special birthday blog, with love from China.
I'm so sorry I can't be with you to celebrate in person Ma, but always know I'm with you in spirit. I managed to get you a little something in the post which isn't very Chinesey at all but I will get you some authentic bits before we meet again.
Thank you so much for all that you do and all that you have done. Words cannot express my gratitude.
In class the other day we played a game of hangman, right after I'd mentioned your birthday was coming up. You might be able to see from the pic the words: "Happy Birthday Dolly" above our heads?
I then rounded up the kids to sing you Happy Birthday, which I have captured on video but still can't manage to upload it yet..(will try to get the video working soon!)
I hope you get to come and meet some of the little darlings at some point! Have a wonderful day Ma, sorry you're presents aren't so extravagent this year... will make it up to you.
