Keeping it Raw at Asia Asia

If there's one taste in particular I've acquired from living the good life abroad for so long, it's that of sushi.

Since my stint running the marketing and PR for Hurghada's Little Buddha Bar (around the start of the decade), the privilege of having a sushi breakfast delivered to my desk each morning was fully utilised. So much so in fact, the right of polishing off sushi was removed from the officer's check after the financial controller caught a whiff.

I don't like all sushi mind you. I can't stand raw salmon – and let's face it that's quite a major pawn in the sushi game (excuse the pun) – and that other sashimi-type shiz; just give me that rice-wrapped shizney any day.

Anyways for those of you heading to Dubai, must stop off at Dubai Marina's Pier 7 to hit up the Asia Asia Restaurant there. It's gained a unique reputation as one of the finest sushi spots in the city and it's easy to see why. Amazing food, fantastic views, epic design and great service: a must for any fellow sushi junkies heading to Dubai.

Already a multi award-winning restaurant in it's first years, it's easy to see why with Trip Advisor reviews like this:

"This place is great. The food is delicious. The service is impeccable and its surroundings are lovely. Over looking the marina, you can sit outside on the balcony and eat, drink and chill. The vibe is nice and loved everything we ordered. Defo recommend."
