Juss Jak

Juss Jak is no stranger to music, indeed it is built into the very fabric of her character; growing up, her father was a soul DJ – with a room full of vinyl – so music, and the industry, run right through her DNA.

Despite being an avid dancefloor addict from way back, this is still the first decade of Jak’s already highly successful international career. She’s played the world over from Ibiza to India (via South East Asia), England to Egypt (via Russia), the Maldives to Miami (via Europe), and has spun for club brands such as Ministry of Sound (Red Sea), Space Terrace and Pukka Up (Ibiza), and London’s Egg Club to name check a few.

Jak has spent the last decade fully submerged in electronic music, carving her sound and style predominantly behind the decks, whilst dabbling in the studio as when scheduling allows.

With early influences such as Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler, and Marshall Jefferson et al, these days Juss Jak’s more about the likes of The Martinez Brothers, Bicep and Kölsch. She loves to go deep but is also more than happy to mix it up with some choice vocals and even more experimental with funk, disco and left field sounds.

Jak has just returned from a summer on the White Isle and is currently working on her own material for some forthcoming releases. Some like it hot, others like it deep: for those who like both, Juss Jak has the answers, the skills, and the tunage to match.
