Juliana left her homeland of Brazil at the tender age of 18 to travel the world pursuing a career as international model before finally settling down in the vastness of China. In the Middle Kingdom, her musical journey took flight and she’s been rocking dance floors for over a decade now.
After falling in love with the sounds of the early jacking – and underground – house sounds; she’s now renowned globally for her edgy, progressive, and deep house track selection. Think stylish, sleek, and sophisticated house music at its best.
Working her way around the China’s DJ circuit in China, Juliana has worked her way up to headline sets at the coolest clubs that both Beijing and Shanghai have to offer. She’s held residencies for exclusive and lavish 5* hotel bars before creating her very own party concept: Get Connected.
Initially starting out as a monthly event concept with special guest DJs from other parts of the world joining her – at one of favourite spots – the legendary Lantern Club in Beijing. Organically, the concept has developed into a not only a club night but also a music studio – aptly titled Get Connected Studios; created by Lima and her partner (in every respect) Hristo H. Their studio focuses on producing both electronic music and rock.
Juliana Lima is now the resident DJ at the prestigious Mercedes Me located in Beijing's cosmopolitan Sanlitun area.
Internationally Lima has played in South Korea, Ethiopia, throughout China, Thailand, the Philippines, and her home country of Brazil. She’s headlined China’s most credible festivals such as INTRO Music Festival, YinYang, d’ART and she’s collaborated with brands such as Pioneer, AMG, Omega, and D&G to name a few. She has also been billed alongside superstar DJs like M.A.N.D.Y, Nakadia, La Fleur and Scalameryia.
These days her styles are influenced by cutting-edge producers including Ten Walls, Township Rebellion, Tale Of Us, Oliver Huntemann, Noir, Hayze and many more…
Just last year she received recognition by being crowned the Winner of City Weekend’s DJ of the Year 2017 – Readers’ Choice Award and no doubt, this is still very much the beginning.
